What is Muay Thai?

Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) is the national sport and the national passion of Thailand. It is a fighting Art hundreds of years old, born in the battlefields of the ancient Kingdom of Siam.

Known as the "Science of Eight Limbs", Muay Thai uses punches and kicks as well as elbows and knees, for defense and offense!

Almost any part of the body is considered a fair target and any part of the body (except the head) may be used to strike an opponent, in or out of the ring! It is considered by many to be the ultimate in hand-to-hand combat.

But real Muay Thai is also much more than learning how to fight!

Real Muay Thai training in all its aspects must also include the physical, the technical, the mental, the spiritual and the cultural.

Nowadays Muay Thai is a professional and an amateur fight sport with rules and regulations, and a martial art, both requiring constant practice, discipline and perseverance!

It can be used as a form of fitness training, for self-defense or for competition!

Why learn Muay Thai?

On a physical level, regular Muay Thai training will give you a well–proportionate physique, build stamina, flexibility, power, coordination and get you in excellent shape. Fat will disappear replaced by lean, hard muscle and your complexion will improve.

Muay Thai training teaches you how to defend yourself and toughens you up. You will gain greater strength and agility and will benefit from an immune system boost.
